Welcome to the colorful world of Board Chick, where each food board tells a story—my story. My journey with beautifully displayed food began in the enchanting spaces of my grandfather’s restaurant, Monaco, nestled in the heart of Portugal. I was just seven years old, but the images of flowing fountains adorned with ripe cherries, succulent apricots, and slices of our family’s beloved Manchego cheese are as vivid today as they were then. This culinary heritage was lovingly preserved by my mother, who continued to create spectacular food board displays for every family celebration, making every gathering unforgettable.

Despite being surrounded by this legacy, my own passion for the culinary arts began when  loss touched my life. After both of my parents passed away several years ago, a sudden, inexplicable passion for cooking ignited within me—a passion to honor their memory and the joy they found in bringing people together through food.

Today, at Board Chick, I pour all that love and heritage into creating customized food boards for any and every occasion. From grazing boards to cup charcuteries, from fruitcuteries to sweetcuteries, I specialize in turning simple ingredients into art. Every slice of Manchego cheese, a staple on our boards, is a nod to my cherished memories and a promise of quality and joy.
